Baroness Caroline Cox Tells Armenian Human Rights Defender She Wants to Visit Artsakh

Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan today hosted a delegation led by Baroness Caroline Cox.

The delegation included the Deputy Director of Baroness Cox’s Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART) and two journalists.

Torosyan described the war crimes committed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces against civilians of Armenia and Artsakh and the campaign of hate against Armenians now appearing on the internet.

"Azerbaijani attacks on the Internet are accompanied by hate speech against Armenians. Our research shows that videos of Armenian captives and photos of victims of the Armenian side are being spread on the Internet and becoming a topic of deepening hate speech and celebration," Toroyan said, concluding that the ultimate goal of the Azerbaijani side is ethnic cleansing in Artsakh.

Baroness Caroline Cox thanked Torosyan for his work in researching ongoing war crimes in Artsakh and said she’s like to visit the country if possible to see the situation herself.
