Azerbaijani military advances targeting Martakert in the north and Martuni in the east have failed, this according to Armenian Defense Ministry Special Representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan.

Hovhannisyan today stated that an Azerbaijani advance towards the village of Taghavard (Martuni region) was also thwarted.

The ministry official stressed that all battles taking place throughout the country, and not just in Shushi, are important.
