Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan, in a statement released today, thanked Russian President Putin “for his mediation efforts to stabilize the situation, ceasefire and end the war, and support for the restoration of peace and stability in our region.”

Harutyunyan thanked Russia for the humanitarian aid it is providing the people of Artsakh, noting plans to create an Interdepartmental Humanitarian Response Center.

The Artsakh president also thanked Putin for taking a personal interest regarding the protection of historical and cultural monuments in the conflict zone.
