Armenia: Older Minivans Will Continue to Ply Regional Routes

Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure wants to give regional public transportation vehicles more than fifteen years old another year before removal from service.

The ministry, in a statement, says the extension is necessary, given the coronavirus epidemic and the post-war situation in the country, so as not to disrupt currently functioning regional public transportation routes, mostly serviced by minivans.

The ministry says that a new route network is being drafted and tenders aren’t being accepted for the current routes.
