Armenian President, Vazgen Manukyan Discuss Domestic Situation

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today, in Yerevan, met with Vazgen Manukyan, a former Armenian prime minister selected by a coalition of political parties and forces to head a proposed transitional government in the country.

A statement released by Sarkissian’s office offered no details on the meeting, merely reporting that the two discussed the situation in Armenia.

Sarkissian, several weeks ago, floated the idea that Armenia needed a government of national accord to stabilize the domestic political situation.
