Archbishop Hovnan Hakobyan has been appointed Primate of the Diocese of Gougark (Armenia).

Hakobyan replaces Archbishop Sebouh Chouldjian who died from Covid-19 on November 19, 2020.

Hakobyan had been servings as Grand Sacristan at Holy Etchmiadzin.
