Armenian Foreign Minister, Minsk Group Co-Chair Country Ambassadors Discuss Karabakh Issue
Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan today received representatives of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in Armenia, Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin, French Ambassador Jonathan Lacôte and US Ambassador Lynne Tracy.
The agenda of the meeting, according to a statement issued by the ministry, included issues related to the post-war situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, regional security and peace.
The need to resume the peace process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs was underlined.
Ayvazyan stressed the need for full implementation of the basic principles of the settlement, emphasizing in this context the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and security.
Ayvazyan also raised the need to take measures to preserve the historical, cultural and religious heritage in Artsakh territories under the Azerbaijani control.
