Edmon Marukyan Elected First Deputy Chairman of PACE Committee on Human Rights and Legal Affairs.

Edmon Marukyan, leader of Armenia’s Bright Armenia parliamentary faction, has been elected First Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Committee on Human Rights and Legal Affairs.

Marukyan, in a Facebook post, writes that he was nominated by the PACE European Liberal Democrats (ALDE) political group.

The Committee on Human Rights and Legal Affairs consists of 91 members representing the national parliaments of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe.
