Armenian Security Council Secretary's Message on the Army Day

Congratulatory Message of the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan on the 29th Anniversary of the RA Armed Forces’ Formation.

Dear compatriots,

I congratulate everyone on the Armenian Army Day – from generals, officers, and soldiers enlisted to defend our homeland’s borders to militia and volunteers.

It is not by chance that this day, in addition to being a professional holiday, is also a national holiday in our public perception. This awareness has been strengthened by the recent events, when we all stood up to defend our homeland in our places, becoming a part of the big family of the Armenian Army – from the frontline to the rear.

Indeed, these days our army is experiencing a unique ordeal, from which it must undoubtedly get out more powerful, accomplished, and ready for the challenges of the time. Our army’s harmonization with the new security realities must become a primary imperative, and we all have a lot to do in this endeavor.

Certainly, in addition to being a holiday on the Armenian Army Day, it is also a memorial day․ Today, we remember all those devotees who stood at the roots of the creation of the Armenian Army. Thanks to their heroism and often at the cost of their lives, we won the Artsakh war of 1991-1994 and resisted the last military operations.

Congratulations again to all of us on this national holiday! Glory to the Armenian Army!
