Yerevan’s Court of General Jurisdiction today court rejected a motion filed by the Investigative Committee to detain world champion boxer Israyel Hakobkokhyan, one of the five individuals arrested at a January 28 anti-Pashinyan protest outside the Government Building in Yerevan.

The boxer will be released soon.

The five were charged with a “premediated attempt to occupy buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication.” (Criminal Code Article 219).
