Armenian Economy Minister, Russian Ambassador Discuss Trade Relations

Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan yesterday hosted a delegation led by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin and discussed Armenian-Russian trade and economic cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan and Russian Trade Representative in Armenia Anna Donchenko.

"Armenia's cooperation with Russia is developing successfully, but there is a potential to deepen it. "Currently, we plan to develop a multi-vector agenda of cooperation with Russia. I hope it will contribute to closer economic ties between our countries," said Kerobyan, according to a statement released by his office.

Ambassador Kopirkin stressed that the economy is one of the leading areas of bilateral cooperation and that the time has come to think about strengthening economic ties between the two countries by attracting new investments.

Agreeing with the ambassador, Kerobyan stressed the need to create business financing infrastructure in Armenia.
