Artsakh’s Stepanakert Airport Slated to Reopen
Artsakh’s Stepanakert airport will soon open according to Artsakh Presidential Chief of Staff Artak Beglaryan.
Beglaryan told Hetq that Russian peacekeepers are working to open the airport in the Artsakh capital and are also building residential housing near the airport.
The airport will service both military and civilian flights.
Beglaryan said that certain political issues must be ironed out regarding the airport, but he was optimistic that they can be resolved.
Beglaryan couldn’t give a specific date for the reopening of the airport but said that there were promises from Russia about a preliminary date.
