Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani on the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

"I am convinced that our friendly relations based on centuries-old traditions, overcoming all obstacles, will continue to develop and strengthen in both political and economic spheres. In the current difficult situation in the region, the relations between Armenia and Iran have become more important than ever, and the rapid development of which is imperative today,” Sarkissian’s message reads.

Sarkissian wished   Rouhani good health, and peace and prosperity to the Iranian people.

Sarkissian also sent a congratulatory message to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
