Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan posted the following video on his Facebook today showing Azerbaijani servicemen firing small and large-caliber weapons in the immediate vicinity of Armenia’s Syunik villages.

"The shots of this video were taken two days ago, at different times of the day, in the middle of Agarak and Yeghvard villages of Kapan community, it was shot by our position guards,” Tatoyan writes.

Tatoyan says he regularly receives complaints from Kapan village residents of about the firing by the Azerbaijani military.

“All this proves, once again, that there should be no Azerbaijani military forces on the roads connecting those communities in the immediate vicinity of Syunik communities. It seriously endangers the rights of civilians, disturbs their peace and peaceful life," the ombudsman says in a statement.
