Armenian President Armen Sargsyan returned to Yerevan over the weekend from London.

Sarkissian had travelled to England to spend New Years with family members and was later diagnosed with Covid-19. The 67-year-old head of state was hospitalized in London after developing double pneumonia.

It's unclear whether the president contracted the virus in Armenia or Britain.

At the urging of doctors, he will continue his medical treatment in Yerevan.
