
Armenian President, Russian Peacekeeper Commander Discuss POW Issue
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno Karabakh, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, in Yerevan today, discussed the return of Armenian POWs and civilians, now held in Azerbaijan.
Sarkissian, according to a statement released by his office, told Muradov that any attempt by Azerbaijan to hinder the search for those still missing is unacceptable.
They also they also discussed the demarcation process along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and Sarkissian stressed the importance of protecting Armenia's borders and the security of border communities.
