Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has described today’s statement of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, calling on him to resign, as an attempt at a military coup.

"I consider the statement of the General Staff an attempt at a military coup. I am inviting all our supporters to the Republic Square right now. I will address the public live in the near future,” Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page soon after the General Staff issued its statement.
