Artsakh Cannot be Part of Azerbaijan, Says Artsakh Presidential Chief of Staff
Chief of Staff of the Artsakh Republic President Artak Beglaryan, referring to a recent statement by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev that the issue of Artsakh’s status is no longer relevant, stated that Artskah can never be a part of Azerbaijan.
The Artsakh Press says that Beglaryan, in a Twitter feed, wrote:
''Artsakh/#Karabakh Republic cannot be a part of #Azerbaijan. There cannot be any integration & our people cannot live in our own land as “Azerbaijani citizens. Our right to self-determination should be recognized fully and internationally.”
Responding to Aliyev’s statement that Baku has returned all Armenian captives and that only terrorists and saboteurs are being held, Beglaryan wrote that Baku is still holding Armenian civilians and POWs.
Beglaryan also wrote that Azerbaijan cannot have any role regarding the entry of foreigners to Artsakh.
