Armenian National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, today by phone, thanked Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council (the upper house of the Russian parliament) Valentina Matviyenko for her efforts to facilitate the release of Lebanese-Armenian Maral Najarian from an Azerbaijani prison.

Najarian, a Lebanese woman who moved to Artsakh and was taken prisoner by Azerbaijani forces on November 10, 2020, has been returned to Beirut.
