Yerevan: Homeland Salvation Movement to Hold "Nationwide Rally" on March 28

The Homeland Salvation Movement (HSM) has announced that to maintain public pressure designed to force Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan to resign, it will launch a new wave of political actions throughout the country.

The HSM, a loose coalition of anti-Pashinyan political forces, issued a statement today announcing that it will end its blockade of Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan.

The HSM says that Pashinyan must resign before early parliamentary elections are held in June, arguing that the current administration is slowly but surely yielding to widespread public pressure.

“It is already obvious to all political forces of society that the development of Armenia is impossible without the resolution of the current crisis. Moreover, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country are in danger,” the HSM statement reads.

The HSM has called for a “nationwide rally” on March 28 at 15:00 at the intersection of Baghramyan Avenue and Demirchyan Street in Yerevan, at which time it will announce it upcoming agenda.
