Armenian Prime Minister, Artsakh President Discuss Post-War Joint Socio-Economic Programs in Karabakh
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan, today in Yerevan, discussed future steps to review ongoing and future joint programs to restore “normal life” in Artsakh following last year’s devasting war in Karabakh.
Harutyunyan said that due to ongoing socio-economic programs most of Artsakh’s former populace, some 120,000 people, live in the country today, with around 30,000 still in Armenia after fleeing the fighting.
Harutyunyan said that housing and providing jobs remain vital issues.
He said the Artsakh government must also find resources to compensate people for the losses they sustained during the war.
Also attending the meeting were Armenian government department heads.
