Armenia Receives First Batch of Astra Zeneca Vaccine
On March 28, Armenia received 24,000 doses of the Astra Zeneca vaccine through the global COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) initiative.
Regarding the delivery of vaccines, the Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia Andrea Victorin stated: "Given the growing number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Armenia, the delivery of vaccines is a positive development. The European Union will continue to support the efforts of the Republic of Armenia to reduce the number of infected people and save lives.”
Victorin said more vaccines will be delivered to Armenia through the COVAX initiative.
To provide accurate, understandable information about COVID-19 to the public in Armenia, UNICEF and the WHO are launching the Armenian version of the HealthBuddy + app, which is now available on Google Play and App Store.
