Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan and Armida Alisjahbana, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific, today, by video, discussed reaffirmed their readiness to ensure the continuation of programs and initiatives at the level of various departments.

In the context of the discussions on the programs implemented by the Commission for the expansion of interregional cooperation, Minister Ayvazyan stressed that Armenia, being a landlocked country, has always acted from the position of strengthening regional cooperation and connectivity based on the full implementation of the principle of inclusion.

Issues related to the forthcoming 77th session of the Commission were discussed.

The two also exchanged views on international efforts to overcome COVID-19 and steps towards a sustainable recovery.
