
Public Covid-19 Vaccinations Launched in Armenia
The Armenian Ministry of Health reports that mass Covid-19 vaccinations against (COVID-19) began today.
Risk groups have been identified for vaccination: those over the age of 65, chronically ill people aged 18-64, residents and staff of nursing homes, and staff at social care centers.
24,000 doses of AstraZeneca and 15,000 doses of Sputnik-V vaccines for 7,500 people were imported to Armenia. Vaccinations are carried out on a voluntary basis among at-risk groups.
People under the age of 55 in the risk groups will be vaccinated with the Sputnik-V vaccine, and those over the age of 55 will be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Previously purchased 2000 doses of Sputnik-V vaccine were given to medical staff at COVID-19 medical centers.
