Armenia Sends Peacekeepers to Lebanon

A contingent of Armenian peacekeepers left for Lebanon today as part of the UNIFIL mission.

As of 24 March 2021, UNIFIL's force consists of a total 10,535 peacekeepers from 46 troop-contributing countries.

Armenia had a force of 33 at the time.

UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) was established in 1978. Armenia has participated since 2014.
