Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, says that Armenia wants to build a powerful military with Russia’s help.

In an interview today with RIA Novosti, Grigoryan said that Russia has made great strides in reforming its armed forces, making its military one of the strongest in the world, and that Armenia hopes to do the same with Moscow’s help.

When asked if Armenia would be purchasing modern military arms and from who, Grigoryan said such purchases are scheduled and “we all know which country leads in this sector.”

He said that Armenia will develop its own military-industrial complex.
