Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, in remarks released today on the 106th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, said that Azerbaijani authorities pursued the same genocidal policy during the 2020 Artsakh war that Ottoman authorities did in 1915.

"Millions of people were killed and tortured, disenfranchised and forcibly deported in the Ottoman Empire simply because they were Armenians,” Tatoyan said in a statement.

"Not recognizing and not condemning the Armenian Genocide, not holding those responsible to account, leads to new genocides, new crimes," Tatoyan said.
