Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Hayk Chobanyan met with a visiting delegation led by Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) of Iraq.

Talabani thanked his host for today’s warm reception and stressed the historical, geographical and educational similarities between the two countries.

Talabani said that the KRG is interested in digital governance and cyber security cooperation and announced that a memorandum to this effect will be signed between the National Polytechnic University of Armenia and Iraqi Kurdistan’s technological universities.

Minister Chobanyan invited the KRG to participate in the DigiTec Expo technology exhibition to be held this fall in Yerevan.
