The Armenian Ministry of Defense, in a statement released today, said that Armenian military units are preventing attempts to reinforce the rear line positions of Azerbaijani troops who’ve crossed the border into Armenia.

The ministry says Armenian forces fully control the situation in both Syunik and Gegharkunik.

Negotiations to resolve the issue are scheduled to resume on Wednesday.

"The RA Armed Forces, emphasizing the need for a peaceful settlement of the issue, at the same time, are ready for any contingency,” the statement reads.
