Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan has called for the creation of a “security zone” along the country’s border with Azerbaijan.

Tatoyan, in a Facebook post today, wrote that any demarcation of the border without such a zone will only lead to new tensions and violations and will not ensure the rights of Armenian border residents.

“Azerbaijani authorities did not only stop but deepened the policy of hatred towards Armenians and fascism towards the entire population of Armenia, the entire Armenian people. This is a real genocidal policy,” Tatoyan wrote.
