Armenian Foreign Minister Resigns, Says Ministry Spokesperson
Acting Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan has resigned, this according to a Facebook post by ministry spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan.
Nothing, as yet, confirming Ayvazyan’s resignation appears on the ministry website. Naghdalyan offered no details on Ayvazyan's departure in her one sentence post.
Ara Aivazian was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs on November 18, 2020, succeeding Zohrab Mnatsakanyan who resigned on November 16 due to disagreements with PM Pashinyan over the signing of the Karabakh ceasefire agreement.
