Armenian, Kazakh Presidents Discuss Greater Cooperation

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met today in Nur-Sultan and discussed greater cooperation in the fields of IT, artificial intelligence, education, and food processing, amongst others.

Sarkissian is on a working visit to the Central Asia nation.

“Armenia is a friendly country for us. Relations and cooperation between our countries are based on traditions," Tokayev said, welcoming Sarkissian.

“We work and cooperate within a strong integration structure, the Eurasian Economic Union. We are a CSTO member and cooperate closely in the CIS, the UN, the OSCE and other structures. I think all this should have a positive continuation,” said the Kazakh President.

Noting that the potential for cooperation between the two countries is great, Sarkissian said visiting Kazakhstan is like visiting friends.
