Hayastan Bloc Accuses Law Enforcement of Political Persecution
Aram Vardevanyan, representative of the Hayastan (Armenia) bloc headed by former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, has accused law enforcement agencies of “intimidating and politically persecuting” its candidates.
Vardevanyan, in a statement released today, singles out the Special Investigative Service for using heavy-handed tactics against it candidates now campaigning for seats in the June 20 parliamentary election.
“Let this interim government, the law enforcement agencies serving them, rest assured that such arbitrariness will not go unpunished,” writes Vardevanyan.
