Today’s preliminary trial session pitting Gurgen Aghajanyan against the Zhoghovurd newspaper had to be postponed since the defendant failed to appear.

Also failing to appear were third party litigants Karine Kirakosyan and Ashot Markosyan.

Aghajanyan is demanding that the paper retract statements he deems defamatory and insulting.

The trial was rescheduled for May 17.
