Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today congratulated Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on Belarus Independence Day.

"I am convinced that the friendship and mutual respect established between our peoples over the centuries will henceforth be a solid basis for increasing the effectiveness of Armenian-Belarusian cooperation in various spheres," reads the congratulatory message sent by Sarkissian.

 Sarkissian wished Alexander Lukashenko good health, happiness and success, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Belarus.
