Pashinyan, Tsarukyan Meet; Discuss Challenges Facing Armenia

Acting Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan met today with Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) head Gagik Tsarukyan and said that while the party failed to garner enough votes to be represented in the new parliament it remains “an influential force in Armenia’s domestic political life.”

The BHK won 3.95% of the popular vote and lost all its seats in the National Assembly.

Pashinyan argued that the June snap parliamentary election resolved Armenia’s political crisis and that the time has come to pool the nation’s resources to overcome the numerous challenges the country faces.

The two, according to a statement released by Pashinyan's office, discussed the steps needed to address these problems.

Tsarukyan said that despite its loss, the BHK remains with the people and will do everything it can to assist the country and people.
