Acting Armenian Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Russian Armed Forces General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov, today by telephone, discussed the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh.

The two, according to a statement released by Harutyunyan’s office, discussed the agenda to be discussed when a Russian Defense Ministry delegation arrives in Armenia within the week.

They also discussed expanding Armenian-Russian military cooperation and reforms being implemented in the Armenian military.
