Russian Foreign Ministry Representative Maria Zakharova today stated that Azerbaijan is adamant that Armenia hand over all maps of minefields in Karabakh and that Moscow favors resolving the issue without preconditions.

Zakharova, at a Moscow press briefing, said that since December 2020, 97 prisoners of war have been returned through the mediation of the Russian side, of which 81 have been returned to Armenia and 16 to Azerbaijan.

On June 12, in exchange for fifteen Armenian POWs, the Armenian side handed over to Azerbaijan the maps of the minefields in the Aghdam region. On July 3, in exchange for fifteen Armenian POWs, Armenia handed over the minefield maps of the Fizuli-Zangelan region.
