Capt. Artur Aghasyan Posthumously Awarded Title of "Artsakh Hero"
Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan has posthumously awarded Capt. Artur Aghasyan, Commander of the 6th Rifle Company of the 2nd Rifle Battalion of the Artsakh Defense Army, the title of “Artsakh Hero”.
"During the war, the defense of the most difficult base of the 6th defense district was entrusted to Artur's platoon. I talked to him regularly. I had not yet signed the decision to evaluate Artur's exceptional exploits and to award him the highest title of Artsakh Hero, when the connection was cut off… The Aghasyan family living in the Artsakh city of Martuni lost another son, Arsen, besides Artur in this war.
"I deeply mourn with all the members of the family and bow my head in memory of Artur and Arsen, their relatives," writes Harutyunyan.
