The U.S. Department of State yesterday issued a Level 3 Travel Health Notice for Armenia, urging those thinking of visiting the country to reconsider their travel plans if not fully vaccinated.

A Level 3 notice indicates a “High” level of Covid-19 in the given country. Level 4 indicates a “Very High” Covid-19 level.

• Unvaccinated travelers should avoid nonessential travel to Armenia.
• Because of the current situation in Armenia, all travelers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants.

The Travel Advisory also urges U.S. citizens not to travel to Nagorno-Karabakh given the security risks.
