Armenia’s Ministry of Defense reports that Azerbaijani forces opened fire along the northeastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border earlier today and that Armenian troops responded in kind.

The ministry says that local clashes in the area continue.

Update: The Armenian Defense Ministry reports that three Armenian soldiers were killed and four wounded in the clashes.
