Arshak Karapetyan Appointed Armenian Minister of Defense

Yerevan native Arshak Karapetyan has been appointed Armenia’s Minister of Defense.

Karapetyan, holding the rank of Major-General, was appointed Armenian First Deputy Minister of Defense on July 20, 2021, after serving as First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Armenia’s Armed Forces.
