On August 20, Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Armenia Fan Yong, this according to the information department of the National Assembly.

Welcoming the guest, Simonyan highlighted the effective cooperation with China and assured that due to the high level of political dialogue, all the efforts will be directed to the strengthening and development of the formed cooperation. 

Simonyan thanked the Ambassador for the necessary assistance received from China at the right time in the conditions of the epidemic.

The Ambassador thanked for the reception, congratulating Alen Simonyan on being elected Parliament Speaker. Assuring China's readiness for multidisciplinary cooperation, the Ambassador stressed the need for mutual visits of parliamentary groups.

At the end of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on elaborating agendas for further cooperation.
