Intense Gunfire Erupts Along Sotk Section of Armenian-Azerbaijani Border

Azerbaijani troops fired on Armenian positions near the Sotk section of the Armenian Azerbaijani border last night, this according to the Armenian Defense Ministry.

Armenian troops responded in kind, resulting in an intense exchange of fire lasting two hours. The ministry says no Armenian soldiers were wounded.

An unspecified number of Azerbaijan wounded were removed from the scene by an ambulance.

He said - She said! I wonder who really did start it this time. Hilarious! Not that it matters, the key fact is that these incidents will continue until the border is demarcated and Azerbaijan territory is recognized. All the attempts to put Karabakh status back on the table are doomed to fail and such arguments from Armenia are putting the Armenian residents of Karabakh at great risk. Remember that If they do not wish to become Azerbaijan citizens then they will have to leave with the Russians in a few years or fight. Fighting hasn't worked out for them this time and Armenia cannot defend them anymore however much they flex and posture about it so they need to get real and start negotiating the transition while they have any chance of getting good terms. Make no mistake about it though, there will never be an independent Artsakh and Azerbaijan is very willing and able to fight to the last Armenian to enforce this.
