Raffi Hovannisian: "I probably won't run for president"
Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian today declared that it was unlikely that he would run for the presidency of Armenia in 2013.
He made the statement at a press conference today in Yerevan. Mr. Hovannisian said there were hundreds of men and women who might become the next president of Armenia but that he wasn't ruling out any possibility.
"We finally need to form a legal and valid government and to realize this I will either make my candidacy more or less probable," said Hovannisian.
The Heritage Party leader also threw cold water on rumors that closed door negotiations were taking place between his party and other political forces that would result in an electoral alliance lead by former RA President Robert Kocharyan.
"I do not believe in secret negotiations. No such meetings have taken place," said Hovannisian.
