Azerbaijani Snipers Open Fire on Dovegh Village; No Casualties Reported
The Armenian village of Dovegh located in the north-eastern region of Tavoush, came under gun fire from Azerbaijani forces on April 25.
A building housing the village kindergarten was hit along with an automobile parked outside.
The children were kept inside until the gunfire ceased after Armenian units responded.
There were no casualties on the Armenian side.
Village Mayor Samvel Gorkinyan says the gunfire lasted some forty minutes. He says that it was targeted sniper fire, something Dovegh has not witnessed for several years.
