Catholicos Garegin II, during his meeting today with departing French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte at the Etchmiadzin Holy See, thanked the diplomat for France’s assistance to Armenia during the coronavirus epidemic and the post-war period.

Catholicos Garegin II said he hoped that France, as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair, will contribute to the just settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Ambassador Lacotte noted that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict has raised many issues that have not yet received the proper attention and appreciation of the international community.

The ambassador assured Catholicos Garegin II that France will continue its efforts for a just and peaceful settlement of the issue.

The Catholicos of All Armenians wished Lacôte success in his new endeavors.
