Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today sent the following message to Vladimir Putin, congratulating the Russian president on his 69th birthday.

"Armenia highly appreciates you and your significant contribution to the development of cooperation between our countries and to the maintenance of peace and stability in the region."

"I am confident that the allied relations, which are based on the centuries-old brotherhood of our peoples, mutual trust, are directed to the future, will continue to contribute to the advancement of the bilateral agenda and the practical realization of the potential of cooperation."
