Armenian, Belarus Foreign Ministers Discuss Greater Economic Cooperation

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Belarus met today on the sidelines of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers’ session in Minsk.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and his Belarus counterpart Vladimir Makei stressed the need to expand economic ties and trade, and in this context, the role of the Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation was explored.

The two, according to a statement released by Mirzoyan’s office, also discussed international and regional security issues, including the Karabakh conflict.

Mirzoyan stressed the need for a comprehensive and comprehensive settlement under the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
