Pashinyan Meets with Heads of Extra-Parliamentary Political Parties

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan today, during a meeting with the heads of political parties not represented in the National Assembly, said that his government wants to include three of them in parliamentary commission that will investigate the circumstances of the 2020 war in Karabakh.

Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party, in July, announced that it plans to form a parliamentary inquiry commission focusing on last year’s war in Karabakh.

Negotiations are still underway regarding the composition of the commission.

Today’s meeting was attended by Republic Party head Aram Sargsyan, Liberal Party leader Samvel Babayan, representative of the Alliance Progressive Centrist Party Tigran Arzakantsyan, leader of the Fair Armenia Party Norayr Norikyan, Sovereign Armenia Party’s David Sanasaryan, European Party of Armenia’s Tigran Khzmalyan, Chairman of the Christian-Democratic Party of Armenia Leon Shirinyan, Chairman of the United Homeland party Mher Terteryan, leader of the Conservative Party Mikael Hayrapetyan, and Chairman of the Board of the Social Democrat Hnchak Party Sedrak Achemyan.
